I regularly post on LinkedIn on behalf of my company, Marketing Fundamentals Ltd and also for clients to drive traffic to their websites. My proven strategy to achieve this is the creation and distribution of value-added content. Yesterday in addition to this activity I decided to do something different.

I gave a simple shout out to two people (with pictures). These were people I think use LinkedIn very well and I recommended that my network check out their LinkedIn feeds. I did not mention my company or what we do at all; here’s a link to that post. In the video I summarise the response to that post. Please note, this was not a strategic move by me. I just wanted to give credit where it was due. I had no expectations. The response to the post was quite surprising in a positive way and as you’ll see in the video it became my most viewed post in less than 24 hours.
