<p>When you run a services business it is vitally important that your existing clients are great ambassadors for your company. Word of Mouth mentions are the foundation of many of the most convincing pieces of content that you can create. I am referring to<span style="color: #ff0000;"><a style="color: #ff0000;" href="https://www.marketingfundamentals.com/testimonials/client-testimonials-videos/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"> testimonials</a></span> and <a href="https://www.marketingfundamentals.com/case-study-dunbar-and-boardman/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><span style="color: #ff0000;">case studies</span></a>. I have written here about <span style="color: #ff0000;"><a style="color: #ff0000;" href="https://www.marketingfundamentals.com/b2b-how-do-you-get-more-referrals/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">how to get more referrals</a></span> so if you have not read this already please do so. So what one thing is going to get your clients to bring you more clients?</p>
<h2>Your Clients Will Bring You More Clients</h2>
<p>The answer is simple &#8211; you have to amaze them. I did not say that the answer was easy to execute, but that it was simple to understand.</p>
<p>When you have amazed your clients with the results that you have produced, results beyond their expectations, and yours in many cases, they will shout it from the rooftops. They will mention you to their peers. You become a shoe-in for projects that require your specialism. This is a wonderful position to be in because your network of existing clients and customers generates all the new opportunities you need to grow.</p>
<p>At this point, it would be great if I could give you a three point plan to amaze your clients, but of course that is impossible. I do not know your strengths as a business or your clients. <p style="text-align: left;">This is blogpost number 338. Each week I receive quite a few invitations to trial a new software or sign up to a new website. I do consider all proposals and suggestions and always keep an open mind especially if they relate to UK new business. I have the same approach with regard to the many &#8216;join-this-new-networking-opportunity&#8217; messages that I receive too.  Before I reject anything I remember the Blockbuster CEO who turned down the chance to buy Netflix for $50 million. One of the most direct and effective approaches that I have received recently was from the Bark Team. My first thought was, what is the Bark Team? It was probably yours too.<span style="color: #ff0000;"> <a style="color: #ff0000;" href="https://www.bark.com" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Bark.com</a> </span>is a website that matches people looking for professional services and those who can provide those services.</p>
<h2>UK New Business</h2>
<p>What was particularly effective about their approach was that they have sent three business referrals my way for free and I did not even have a profile on their site! Bark is focused on matching local businesses and for our business that is other businesses in the central London area. It seems to be a great source of UK new business referrals for professional services businesses. I had imagined that sites like bark.com were really for finding a local plumber or a wedding photographer ( yes, they do those too) rather than a Content Marketing Agency but the referrals I have received were for Social Media and Content Creation. Before I go any further I should point out that this is not a sponsored post. I was impressed with the fact that they sent actuals referrals to me unnannounced after reviewing our website and online presence.</p>
<h2><strong>How Does Bark Work?</strong></h2>
<p>Here&#8217;s Nick Hewer to explain. I think you&#8217;ll recognise him from his time working with Lord Sugar on <span style="color: #ff0000;"><em><a style="color: #ff0000;" href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Apprentice_(UK_TV_series)" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">The Apprentice.  </a></em></span></p>
<p>If you&#8217;re a regular reader of this blog you&#8217;ll know that I am happy to share great information for the benefit of my audience.  My recommendation is that you sign up to Bark and open up another possible revenue stream for your business.</p>
