<p style="text-align: left;">This is blogpost number 338. Each week I receive quite a few invitations to trial a new software or sign up to a new website. I do consider all proposals and suggestions and always keep an open mind especially if they relate to UK new business. I have the same approach with regard to the many &#8216;join-this-new-networking-opportunity&#8217; messages that I receive too.  Before I reject anything I remember the Blockbuster CEO who turned down the chance to buy Netflix for $50 million. One of the most direct and effective approaches that I have received recently was from the Bark Team. My first thought was, what is the Bark Team? It was probably yours too.<span style="color: #ff0000;"> <a style="color: #ff0000;" href="https://www.bark.com" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Bark.com</a> </span>is a website that matches people looking for professional services and those who can provide those services.</p>
<h2>UK New Business</h2>
<p>What was particularly effective about their approach was that they have sent three business referrals my way for free and I did not even have a profile on their site! Bark is focused on matching local businesses and for our business that is other businesses in the central London area. It seems to be a great source of UK new business referrals for professional services businesses. I had imagined that sites like bark.com were really for finding a local plumber or a wedding photographer ( yes, they do those too) rather than a Content Marketing Agency but the referrals I have received were for Social Media and Content Creation. Before I go any further I should point out that this is not a sponsored post. I was impressed with the fact that they sent actuals referrals to me unnannounced after reviewing our website and online presence.</p>
<h2><strong>How Does Bark Work?</strong></h2>
<p>Here&#8217;s Nick Hewer to explain. I think you&#8217;ll recognise him from his time working with Lord Sugar on <span style="color: #ff0000;"><em><a style="color: #ff0000;" href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Apprentice_(UK_TV_series)" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">The Apprentice.  </a></em></span></p>
<p>If you&#8217;re a regular reader of this blog you&#8217;ll know that I am happy to share great information for the benefit of my audience.  My recommendation is that you sign up to Bark and open up another possible revenue stream for your business.</p>
