<h2>Replacement For Google+</h2>
<p>On the 2nd April 2019, Google closed down Google+. Despite having 198 million users at that point, it was widely regarded as a failure because it did not match the user acquisition achievements of Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. The shutdown ended 8 years of Google + and at the time Google acknowledged that they had not met all their objectives with the Google+ project. Personally I thought that they would be back again and that thought turned out to be correct</p>
<p>In the video, I discuss Shoelace which is a new localised Social Media network from Google. I hope you enjoy the video.</p>
