LinkedIn is keen to promote native video content on their platform. Native video is video that is uploaded directly onto the platform rather than via a link to a video uploaded to YouTube for example. LinkedIn has altered its algorithm to favour LinkedIn video, this means that uploading LinkedIn video is likely to achieve greater reach than a written post or a straightforward image based post. LinkedIn has done this because their data tells them that video is the most engaging form of content on the platform. Increased engagement on the platform will invariably mean more advertising dollars for LinkedIn.
In the video, I take you through my assessment of what video content works best on the platform and also discuss other pieces of content that you should continue to publish on LinkedIn.
