<p>If you are working for a services business, you too should consider creating online courses as a way to extend your reach and impact. Once you have done so, no longer will you be confined by physical constraints such as location and schedule. Your online students will be able to access your expertise on demand at a time suitable for them.</p>
<p>This approach has helped Marketing Fundamentals Ltd reach international markets and international customers at a time when there is growing uncertainty in the United Kingdom. <p>In 2012, I wrote a book entitled, How to TurboCharge Your Business With a Blog. Those of you who are subscribers of the channel, followers of my Twitter account or regular visitors to this website will already know this information. For those of you who are new, in 2015 I also released an audiobook . The <span style="color: #ff0000;"><a style="color: #ff0000;" href="http://amzn.to/2rvUQkc" target="_blank" rel="noopener">audiobook is here</a></span>, if you sign up for a free trial with Audible you can listen to my audiobook for free. There will be absolutely no charge. I am just scrolling down the Amazon page now, I have 32 reviews and I am just looking at the Amazon Bestseller Ranking and I am currently No 1 in &#8216;Marketing and Sales&#8217; and No.2 in &#8216;Small Business and Entrepreneurship&#8217; and number 76 in Advertising. So you can listen to this audiobook. I worked with an American radio presenter and narrator called Jerry Zimmerman and he has a very interesting voice. He brings the storytelling within the book and the lessons learned to live. You can appreciate his voice when you listen to my audiobook and as I said earlier, it&#8217;s currently free with an Audible trial.</p>

<p>Better performing posts will drive more traffic to your website, which in turn should generate more leads and sales for you. I have assumed that you have an effective conversion process once visitors reach your site.</p>
<h2>Your Most Popular Post</h2>
<p>Which is your most popular post? You should know which one it is but just in case you do not know, here&#8217;s how to find out.</p>
<p>Open your  Google Analytics account</p>
<p>On the left menu you will see a list of options, click on &#8216;Behaviour&#8217;</p>
<p>Then click on &#8216;Site Content&#8217;</p>
<p>Next click on &#8216;Content Drilldown&#8217;</p>

<p>To find out the most viewed content of all time ensure that you change the start date in the top right corner to the date that analytics were first added to your site.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Hello everyone. We have reached another significant milestone. Thank you for accompanying me on this journey to 400 blog posts. This is the 401st post. It is a great achievement and I&#8217;m sure that without you reading my posts that I would not have got this far. I founded Marketing Fundamentals Ltd in October 2010 and blogging was always part of my marketing plan for the business.  It is still very effective at driving traffic to our website. Social media is also important, of course, and a lot has changed with Social Media since 2010. Some Social Media platforms have come and gone in the time that I have been blogging. &#8211; R.I.P Vine.</p>

<p>What remains constant is the benefits that businesses receive when they start delivering value to their audience in the form of a regular blog. Yes, blogging requires planning and must be well executed but it is definitely worth the investment in time and resource. You are not alone. Believe it or not there are many businesses including some content marketing agencies that also struggle to publish weekly. I will not name names <img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/17.0.2/72x72/1f642.png" alt="🙂" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> I know that you appreciate the benefits of consistent blogging and I understand that you find it dificult to achieve. In this post I outline four tactics that will improve your level of consistency in terms of publishing weekly blog content. If you are wondering whether blogging is still important, read this post <a href="https://www.marketingfundamentals.com/uk-b2b-effective-content-marketing-channel/" target="_blank">UK B2B: Which is the Most Effective Content Marketing Channel?</a></p>
<h2 style="text-align: justify;">Publish Content Consistently</h2>
<h3 style="text-align: justify;"><strong>1. Content Planning</strong></h3>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Faced with a blank screen and a blinking cursor many marketing staff struggle to create blog posts that are of value to their audience on a consistent basis. Instead of approaching each post as a new cause for panic  schedule regular content planning sessions with your team. The objective of these sessions is to brainstorm future blog post titles. Each session should produce between 10-15 blog post titles. In many instances this will be enough for the next Quarter. You could take this a step further by adding the future titles to your website as a content calendar. There are a WordPress plugins that will help you to create a content calendar.</p>
<h3 style="text-align: justify;"><strong>2. Diarise Blog Writing</strong></h3>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Treat blog writing as a meeting that is scheduled in your work diary. Allow sufficient time to research and write a blog post at the same time each week. Success comes from establishing the right habits and allocating a weekly time slot for blog writing is a good habit to create. Writing a blog post will become part of your workflow. If you include guest contributors or colleagues from other departments ensure that they adhere to the established workflow.</p>
<h3><strong>3. Publish Day </strong></h3>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Publish your blog post on the same day each week or if you are publishing multiple blog posts per week stick to the same publishing schedule. Your readers will come to expect your posts and when you analyse your web traffic you will notice that trafic spikes on the days that you publish fresh content.  Remember that the publish day does not have to be the same as the writing day, allow enough time to review and edit your post(s) before publishing.</p>
<h3><strong>4. Pomodoro Technique</strong></h3>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Sometimes you will not be able to write a blog post in one writing session. Perhaps the subjects in the post covered are extremely complex or you are covering many sides of a public debate. One way to prevent the writing task becoming overwhelming is to use the <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pomodoro_Technique" target="_blank">Pomodoro Technique.</a> The Pomodoro technique is a time mangement tactic that breaks down tasks into twenty-five minute blocks and separates them with a short break. It was developed by developed by Francesco Cirillo in the 1980s. It is a great way of working through a complicated blog post or a large copywriting project. You might compete a post in 4 Pomodoros (4 x 25 minutes), for example.</p>

<p>Hello everyone. Professional Services businesses have historically been quite conservative with their approach to marketing and have often been reluctant to create strategies that will raise their company&#8217;s profile. In some circles the idea of marketing in itself was slightly distasteful. I am reminded of a visit I made a few years ago to an &#8216;old school&#8217; legal chambers. I will not forget the look of disdain on one partner&#8217;s face when I told him that I earned my living from marketing. Thankfully there are now many progressive individuals working within professional services who are keen to deploy the most effective strategies to give their business an edge over its competitors.</p>
<p>Creating an informational product will brand your business and is an excellent way of raising your company&#8217;s profile. This informational product will demonstrate your company&#8217;s expertise in your chosen sector, differentiate you from your competitors and if positioned correctly will get more prospects into your sales funnel. For example, instead of being just another legal firm that handles immigration for businesses and their employees you could become the firm that is known for &#8216;Demystifying the UK Visa Process&#8217; if you have a book with that title. Creating an informational product will also extend your marketing reach. Knowledge of your business will extend beyond your clients and the personal networks of your employees.</p>
<h3>What Sort of Informational Product Should you Create?</h3>
<p>Once you&#8217;ve committed to the strategy of creating an informational product remember that you must deliver value to your audience. This is crucial for the success of the product and of this strategy. There are a variety of informational products that you could create.</p>
<p><strong>1. Book</strong></p>
<p>The benefit of a good businesss book is that it will brand you very well in your sector. You will become known for something. The introduction of self publishing means that book publishing a book is more accessible book than it once was but most business owners do not have one. A physical book ranks higher than a Kindle book so produce both formats. Also consider creating an audiobook.</p>
<p><strong>2. Online Courses</strong></p>
<p>Creating an online course with an educational portal such as Udemy is another excellent way of demonstrating your expertise. Ensure that the course is relevant to your core business activities and keep the course updated. The opportunity to update makes online courses a preferred route for many business people. To update a book would reqwuire a second edition whereas for an online course you can simply add new modules or edit existing ones.</p>
<p><strong>3. Creating an App</strong></p>
<p>It requires more financial investment and external personnel (app developers) to create an app but if you decide to go down this route you will be front of mind with your target audience. Mobile phones are integral to people&#8217;s lives and creating a useful app is a wonderful way of helping them and promoting your business.</p>
<p><strong>4. Recorded Webinar</strong></p>
<p>If you are looking for an informational product that will be quick to create but of higher perceived value than a dwonloadable PDF consider a recorded webinar. Prepare well for the first webinar, pick a theme that will be of use to your audience, record it and then you will have a valuable informational product.</p>
